Baby Boomer

Bob grew up during the Woodstock era. Like most of his friends, Bob believed anything was possible and that the world his elders built needed work.

As Bob got older, he joined the “Me Generation,” charging the good life on his credit card.

Today, Bob is nearing retirement, but he’s not happy with his financial situation.  Because he postponed marriage and children, he’s now paying for his son’s college while trying to save for retirement. And since his parents are getting on in years, he’s helping them out, as well.

On top of these pressures, Bob doesn’t know whether his job or company will survive the next recession—or get wiped out in the next wave of global competition.

Still, like many baby boomers, Bob is eyeing the retirement of his dreams. Problem is, he needs to save more . . . a lot more.
